DO we need to do any puja before reciting the mantra . Please let me know if this mantra can be recited early morning or evening .

    1. Clean in body and mind, the mantra should be chanted morning or
evening or both times with faith and devotion. No other puja is required.

Can you right the mantra in english

  2. in the above shloka what does the word prajaam mean? also why the inclusion of word swaaha? kindly explain.

  3. 'Praja' here means progeny or children. 'Swaha' is the consort of Agni who delivers the offerings into Agni to the gods to whom the offerings are made. Here she delivers the vibrations of the mantra to the intended deity.

    1. the word 'prajaam' does not occur there. it should be replaced with the word 'prajnaam', as Lord Dakshinamoorthy is the deity who is worshiped to get 'jnaanam' or the realization of the Truth. and the spiritual seeker seeks the help of Sri Dakshinaamoorthy to internalize this Truth, which is called 'prajnaa'. we do not worship the Lord to get progeny. namaste.

    2. You are 100% correct madam. It was typographical error because of which
’prajnaam' became 'prajaam' for which only I gave the meaning without looking at the context. Lots of thanks to you for pointing out this blunder. I have corrected the text. Thanks again

    3. all thanks to sri dakshinaamoorthy.

Now a days , girls and woman are facing so much problem in day to day life. Girls can't travel alone in bus, gents are making them miserable. please tell a mantra for protection of women and girls

    1. See, we reiterate that : there are two means to get desired results – 1. which we know from common sense and other experiences, 2. which we know from shAstram.
If something is possible by first one, we should not look towards shAstram for that.
So, practicing guidance of elders will help you.
However, in conditions when you feel fear, you may chant specific shloka-s, which are known as kavacha-mantra-s. If you don't remember any, then remembering God with any name is enough.
I hope you understand that law of cause and effect makes us reach the conclusion that everything has cause. That results in the fact that our misery is cause of our past wrong deeds and our present good deeds are able to suppress that too. So, do good deeds, remember God and follow common sense and security advises of elders.

    2. renukaprasad says:

for protection of girl or woman , pls chant your home diety Gods name for example sree venkateshwaraya namaha or om sree Durgadeviaih namaha, it can be chanted any place and anytime.

  6. Anju Sharma says:

This mantra has to be chanted by child or the mother can also chant on the child's behalf

    1. The person who wishes results, should chant this.
If he can't utter words, you may do on his behalf. I think your child could repeat this mantra, after consulting 'guru'.

  7. Namaste, kya mere bhanje ke liye is mantra ka upyog kar sakti hoo uski padhaii me consanstrat bothot week he pls help me …

    1. You may use it. But, we always say that you should get directions from 'guru' before doing any japa of any mantra for specific purpose.
Actually, using mantra without dIxA(initiation) is against dharma-shAstra. I mean, without dIxA, they may not yield desired result.
However, you could remember Shri Daxinamurti Bhagawan by repeating his name. That is not barred.
Again, we will like to tell you that you should continue to persuade your child to study seriously too. Without doing that you can't expect mantra-s to help you.

  8. Bishal Nath says:

Do we have a mantra for reducing stammering problem?

    1. Sorry, but we are not aware of any specific mantra directed towards healing of this specific problem.
You may try other mantra-s which are said to do good generally.

  10. The Searcher says:

it would be better if meaning of mantras are that people know what they can chant with an understanding.

    1. Not difficult to do that. But, I think it'll be better for readers to have basic understanding of Sanskrit language.
Ignorance is not an excuse for 'not learning', nor the age is.
So, please start study to reap benefits.
