Vishnu Sahasanama stotram is considered by all sages as a very potent Mantra
which, if chanted daily is capable of bestowing all types of happiness,
prosperity,

Good health etc.

One great Vaishnava devotee of yore named Parashara Bhatta while writing
the commentary has selected approx. 171 names out of thousand names in Vishnu
Sahasranama and has described the special benefit which wil accrue by chanting
each name in the form of a separate mantra. A summary of that selected list of

Mantra to escape imprisonment in a jail or imprisonment by kidnappers

There is a Ganesha Kavacham in our Puranas. It is said that if one reads
the entire stotra 21 times a day for 21 days, one will be released from the
prison.  Weven where a person whos is in
a prison or anybody (who is closely connected to the prisoner) on behalf of the
prisoner reads or chants this stotra 5 times a day for 6 months to a year he
will be able to get released from imprisonment

A general universal mantra for protection from all dangers and
calamities

The foremost and almost unfailing remedy for all ills is to write raamanaama   

(रामनाम) at least 108 times daily, which would hardly take 3
minutes.

One has to write daily (it can be done at any time in morning, day or
night)-

……  108 times approx. (minimum). One can
write in any script Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Oriya, Punjabi

Is several times more effective than verbally chanting the name. Writing
रामनाम in

preference to other names of God (there is ultimately only one Supreme
Reality)

has been found by many saints to be several times more effective,
powerful and quicker in gaining results in all worldly matters and crises in
our lives.  This is such a BROAD SPECTRUM
REMEDY. This does not require a Guru

Mantra to recover property/money lost through burglary, decoity etc

कार्तवीर्यार्जुनमन्त्रं

ओं कं कार्तवीर्यार्जुनो नाम राजा बाहुसहस्रवान्।

ह्रीं तस्य स्मरणादेव हतं नष्टं च लभ्यते।

क्रों सहस्रार हुंफट् क्रों ह्रीं ओं ।

Mantra for release from heavy debts incurred by taking loans

The chanting of the entire third chapter of 8th skandha of
Srimadbhagavatam known as “Gajendra Moksha” once daily will release a person
early from all debts incurred by taking loans etc.

श्रीशुक उवाच

एवं व्यवसितो बुद्ध्या समाधाय मनो हृदि।

जजाप परमं जाप्यं प्राग्जन्मन्यनुशिक्षितम् ॥१॥

गजेन्द्र उवाच

ऊँ नमो भगवते तस्मै यत एतच्चिदात्मकम्

पुरुषायादिबीजाय परेशायाभिधीमहि ॥२॥

यस्मिन्निदं यतश्चेदं येनेदं य इदं स्वयम्

योऽस्मात् परस्माच्च परस्तं प्रपद्ये स्वयंभुवम् ।।३॥

यः स्वात्मनीदं निजमाययार्पितं

क्वचित् विभातं क्व च तत् तिरोहितम्।

अविद्धदृक् साक्ष्युभयं तदीक्षते

स आत्ममूलोऽवतु मां परात्परः ॥४॥

कालेन पञ्चत्वमितेषु कृत्स्नशो

न नामरूपे गुणदोष एव वा।

अरूपायोरुरूपाय नम आश्चर्यकर्मणॆ ॥९॥

आत्मात्मजाप्तगृहवित्तजनेषु सक्तै-

यं धर्मकामार्थविमुक्तिकामा

अत्यद्भुतं तच्चरितं सुमङ्गलं

तमक्षरं ब्रह्म परं परेश-

मव्यक्तमाध्यात्मिकयोगगम्यम्।

अतीन्द्रियं सूक्ष्ममिवातिदूर-

मनन्तमाद्यं परिपूर्णमीडे ॥२१॥

यस्य ब्रह्मादयो देवा वेदाः लोकाश्चराचराः।
नामरूपविभेदेन फल्ग्व्या च कलयाकृताः ॥२२॥

यथार्चिषोऽग्नेः सवितुर्गभस्तयो

निर्यान्ति संयान्त्यसकृत् स्वरोचिषः

तथा यतोऽयं गुणसंप्रवाहो

बुद्धिर्मनः खानि शरीरसर्गाः ॥२३॥

स वै न देवासुरमनुष्यतिर्यङ्

न स्त्री न षण्ढो न पुमान् न जन्तुः।

नायं गुणः कर्म न सन्न चासन्

निषेधशेषो जयतादशेषः ॥२४॥

जिजीविषे नाहमिहामुया कि-

मन्तर्बहिश्चावृतयेभयोन्या।

इच्छामि कालेन न यस्य विप्लव-

स्तस्यात्मलोकावरणस्य मोक्षम् ॥२५॥

सोऽहं विश्वसृजं विश्वमविश्वं विश्ववेदसम्।

विश्वात्मानमजं ब्रह्म प्रणतोऽस्मि परं पदम्॥२६॥

योगरन्धितकर्माणो हृदि योगविभाविते।

योगिनो यं प्रपश्यन्ति योगेशं तं नतोऽस्म्यहम्॥२७॥

नमो नमस्तुभ्यमसह्यवेगशक्तित्रयायाखिलधीगुणाय।
प्रपन्नपालाय दुरन्तशक्तये कदिन्द्रियाणामनवाप्यवर्त्मने॥२८॥

नायं वेद स्वमात्मानं यच्छ्क्त्याहंधिया हतम्।

तं दुरत्ययमाहात्म्यं भगवन्तमितोऽस्म्यहम् ॥२९॥

श्रीशुक उवाच:

एवं गजेन्द्रमुपवर्णितनिर्विशेषं

ब्रह्मादयो विविधलिङ्गभिदाभिमानाः।

नैते यदोपससृपुर्निखिलात्मकत्वात्

तत्राखिलामरमयो हरिराविरासीत् ॥३०॥

तं तद्वदार्तमुपलभ्य जगन्निवासः

स्तोत्रं निशम्य दिविजैः सह संस्तुवद्भिः।

छन्दोमयेन गरुडेन समुह्यमान-

श्चक्रायुधोऽभ्यगमदाशु यतो गजेन्द्रः ॥३१॥

सोऽन्तःसरस्युरुबलेन गृहीत आर्तो

दृष्ट्वा  गरुत्मनि हरिं ख उपात्तचक्रम्।

उत्क्षिप्य सांबुजकरं गिरमाह कृच्छ्रा-

न्नारायणाखिलगुरो भगवन् नमस्ते ॥३२॥

तं वीक्ष्य पीडितमजः सहसावतीर्य

सग्राहमाशु सरसः कृपयोज्जहार।

ग्राहात् विपाटितमुखादरिणा गजेन्द्रं

सम्पश्यतां हरिरमूमुचदुस्रियाणाम् ॥३३॥

इति श्रीमद्भागवते महापुराणे पारमहंस्यां

संहितायामष्टमस्कन्धे गजेन्द्रमोक्षणे तृतीयोऽध्यायः

Mantra for reunion of
estranged couples

शिवः शक्त्यायुक्तो यदि भवति शक्तः प्रभवितुं

न चेदेवं देवो न खलु कुशलः स्पन्दितुमपि ।

अतस्त्वामाराध्यां हरिहरविरिञ्चादिभिरपि

प्रणन्तुं स्तोतुं वा कथमकृतपुण्यः प्रभवति ॥

sloka of Soundarya Lahari of Adi Sankaracharya]

Mantra for easy and
normal delivery of children

सुखप्रसव यक्षिणी मन्त्रं

          हिमवत्युत्तरे पार्श्वे

          सुरसा
नाम यक्षिणी  ।

         तस्याः नूपुर शब्देन

         विशल्या भवतु गर्भिणी ॥ स्वाहा

(to be chanted daily 108
times)

At the time when a lady
about to deliver a child is having labour pain, this mantra may be got chanted
108 times by any friend or relative keeping a small cup containing a few drops
of any edible oil (coconut oil, til oil, refined oil etc) in the hand and while
chanting, from time to time, make the lady to drink a few drops and rub it on
the navel very gently.

Mantra to remove barrenness in women and prevent abortions

To remove barrenness in women, and especially in cases where women have
been having abortions or where the tendency for abortion is suspected, to avoid
still-born children and caesarain srugery and to protect childen in womb from
any disease the following Shashti Devi mantra should be chanted 108 times a day
till the child is born and later 21 times a day for 3 years).  The dhayna slokas given below should be
recited once daily before starting the chanting of the Mantra:

षष्ठीदेवी ध्यानश्लोकाः

नमो देव्यै महादेव्यै सिद्ध्यै शान्त्यै नमो नमः।

शुभायै देवसेनायै षष्ठीदेव्यै नमो नमः       ॥१॥

वरदायै पुत्रदायै धनदायै नमो नम:।

सुखदायै मोक्षदायै षष्ठीदेव्यै नमो नमः ॥२॥

    

शक्तेः षष्ठांशरूपायै सिद्धायै च नमो नम।

मायायै सिद्धयोगिन्यै षष्ठीदेव्यै नमो नमः ॥३॥

    

पारायै पारदायै च षष्ठीदेव्यै नमो नमः।

सारायै सारदायै च पारायै सर्वकर्मणाम् ॥४॥

बालाधिष्ठातृदेव्यै च षष्ठीदेव्यै नमो नमः ।

कल्याणदायै कल्याण्यै फलदायै च कर्मणाम् ॥५॥

प्रत्यक्षायै च भक्तानां षष्ठीदेव्यै नमो नमः ।

षष्ठीदेवी मन्त्रं

Shashthi Devi
(colloquially Chchati Devi) also known as Devasena is the goddess in charge of
children from the time they are formed in womb till they are born and become
three years of age. The Mantra and the hymn are given in Brahma Vaivarta Purana
(Prakriti Kanda – Chapter 43)

Note 1: The dhyana slokas
and mantra should be chanted most prefereably by the woman who seeks to have a
child, but in inescapable circumstances, nearest relatives can do the japa
after proper sankalpa that I am doing this for the such and such person (tell her
name and birth nakshatra if known). If a woman is unable to chant them herself,
it is enough if she daily hears it through somebody else chanting it in her
presence.
